Assessment

Initial/Mental Health Assessment
All first appointments allow your psychologist extra time and resources to gain a thorough understanding of your concerns and needs, and inform treatment and referral recommendations. This assessment can also be booked as a standalone service. The appointment lasts about 60 minutes.

Comprehensive Autism or ADHD Assessment
Specialised neurodevelopmental assessment costs vary depending on your unique circumstances. The first consultation (up to 2 hours) will consist of general history taking and the specialised assessment interview. One to two follow up sessions may be required, as well as report writing time. Standardised psychometrics will also be completed during your assessment process, and the cost for this is included in your first appointment fee.

Combined Cognitive Ability & Academic Achievement Assessment (6-16 years old)
The WISC-V and the WIAT-III are used to measure cognitive and academic achievement abilities. Identifies learning disabilities (dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia) and screens for difficulties impacting cognitive proficiency. Includes report with recommendations.

Cognitive Assessment
A cognitive ability (intelligence) test used from 6 to 16 years old, that measures a child's intellectual ability and the five cognitive domains that impact performance. Includes report with recommendations. Excellent investment for children struggling with learning, high-achieving children with emotional/ behavioural challenges and neurodivergent children.

Achievement Assessment
Academic achievement tests are used from 4 years old to measure previously learned knowledge in the areas of Reading, Written Language, Mathematics, and Oral Language. Identifies current level of academic functioning compared to peers, as well as personal academic strengths and weaknesses.
