Welcome to Friendship Roadmap workshop, presented by Anélda Huisamen, clinical psychologist. The workshop is crafted to help tweens grow their social skills and navigate common friendship pitfalls. This engaging workshop encourages learning with peers through video, art, and interactive games. By participating in this workshop, your tween will learn:
1. How to be a true friend, and how to spot one.
2. Conversation and listening skills, and learn to accept compliments.
3. Tools to navigate teasing, gossiping, disagreements, and saying “no” effectively.
4. The difference between fitting in and truly belonging.
5. Dealing with big feelings, like anger and jealousy, in friendships.
Your tween will take home their printed workshop workbook, helping them practise the techniques and giving parents/caregivers a clear way to understand and support their learning from home.
